Managing Director, Executive Search

Connie has worked in Human Resources for over 25 years for progressive FORTUNE 500 companies including GE Capital, Raytheon, HP and BP. Connie has a trajectory track record of building and placing high-impact executive leadership teams in the Financial Services, Banking, Oil and Gas, Defense, Petrochemical, Manufacturing and Technology industries.

At Raytheon, she developed and led global executive recruiting, talent development and succession strategy. She secured and developed the executive leadership for over 400 titles required for Raytheon to meet its business and financial objectives in an intensely competitive defense market. Connie was key in helping rebuild the company’s high potential program, succession planning and rotational programs.

Previous to SGP, Connie was the EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer for Zions Bancorporation, where she ensured the HR function was fully equipped not only to manage but to lead change and participate fully in the Bancorporation’s growth strategy, including all human capital programs and operations related to a workforce of 12,000. She was the first highest-ranked female for the corporation and brought the company to award-winning status for several of the Human Resources functions she led. Connie chaired the Benefits Committee, which includes all fiduciary responsibilities for the company’s defined contribution and health and welfare plans. She also served as the Chief Ethics Officer and as a member of the Executive Management Committee, working hands-on with the company’s merger and acquisitions activities.

Connie’s early career exposed her to international operations, private equity placement, business process outsourcing, B2B payment card solutions, union negotiations, manufacturing and Six-Sigma. She has also worked in consulting and has held roles in academia at the University of Utah.

Connie received her B.A. in Finance from the University of Utah and her Master’s degree in Business Administration. She double majored in Finance and Human Resources at Purdue University, Krannert Graduate School of Management.

She is a published author and is often interviewed for feature articles in trade newspapers and journals, including The Wall Street Journal, HR Executive Magazine, HR Benefits Magazine, Corporate Leadership Council and local trade publications.
